Every day Macmillan Cancer offer fantastic support to people who have cancer, and their families. This charity is close to many people’s hearts, as most of us have known or know of someone who are supported and cared for by Macmillan. We wanted to get involved in the Macmillan’s Biggest Coffee Morning this year, to do our bit, raising money for this worthy cause.
We were accompanied by Argus Global, webexpenses, who both reside in Number 3 with us and neighbours A Plan to enjoy a morning that consisted of a Cake Off, Raffle and freshly brewed Barista-style coffee. The “Cake Off” was judged by our very own “Paul and Mary” impersonators, who took their task very seriously, marking on presentation, taste and effort. It was a tough competition, with great effort made by all bakers. A selection of cakes, biscuits, crumble, flapjacks and fudge were amongst the treats. Picking up the prize for Cake Off Winner was Steph Setch, with her delicious Victoria Sponge.
The morning was concluded with a raffle, consisting of some fantastic prizes, kindly donated by the businesses and employees involved. These treats included Tickets for 2 to Blenheim at Christmas, Hotel Chocolat Hamper, A month’s free gym membership at Pirate Fitness and a Champneys gift set, to name a few.
We are pleased to announce that we raised £355 and would like to thank all that joined us and helped us in our fundraising.
