Harnessing the Power of Social Media with the right Content

1

I was fortunate to attend an event in London yesterday, where Joe Wicks, The Body Coach was the inspirational speaker. His talk was based around how he became a successful fitness and health figure - starting from a small idea, he grew his business and brand almost overnight using social media. With a mission to "rescue people from the awful dieting industry" he has created fitness plans, HIIT workouts and recipes that encapsulate this whole lifestyle, in an accessible and achievable way and has helped over 50,000 clients transform their health and fitness through his fitness and lifestyle programs.

Is your Website being Haunted by Monstrous Mistakes?

dark 17604 1280

Halloween is almost upon us again. That time of year where ghouls and ghosts come out to scare, vampires and zombies walk the streets and children everywhere are given enough sweets and sugar to turn into little monsters themselves.

This is all good fun, but you should watch out that the vampires have not come to suck the life out of your website.  Some nightmares can be avoided in your business if you are equipped with enough garlic to keep the vampires at bay (or a good Website Company, like CBW) and avoid being haunted by monstrous mistakes that could have a real affect on your business.

Don’t lose your website in a menacing maze of mistakes. Read on if you dare, to discover the devilish website disasters lurking in the dark…

What's your website personality type?

p0159h1r

Many people tuned in last night to the first episode of the new series of The Apprentice. With the show now on it’s twelfth series we are familiar with the format of budding young entrepreneurs, business men and women who are ready to compete for the chance to win a £250,000 investment from the British Business mogul, Lord Alan Sugar.

There are always a real mix of personalities we see on The Apprentice, the bossy, the assertive, the disillusioned...by process of elimination each week we will see who Lord Sugar believes to be the right choice for the job.

In 1971, Psychologist Carl G. Jung produced the theory of psychological types whereby people can be categorized by their preference of general attitude, and we really do see a real mix on this show. It is always really interesting to see the different personalities that go into the process on the show, and how sometimes the strongest candidates don’t always make it through to the end.

When creating your business website it’s something that perhaps is not overtly thought about, but through your website you are able to portray your company personality not only in your choice of content, but colour, design and other features that all make up the whole picture. This will vary depending on your market, sector and what you feel is important to your company and to your customers.

Fundraising Success at CBW's Macmillan Coffee Morning

20160930 100252

Every day Macmillan Cancer offer fantastic support to people who have cancer, and their families. This charity is close to many people’s hearts, as most of us have known or know of someone who are supported and cared for by Macmillan. We wanted to get involved in the Macmillan’s Biggest Coffee Morning this year, to do our bit, raising money for this worthy cause.

We were accompanied by Argus Global, webexpenses, who both reside in Number 3 with us and neighbours A Plan to enjoy a morning that consisted of a Cake Off, Raffle and freshly brewed Barista-style coffee. The “Cake Off” was judged by our very own “Paul and Mary” impersonators, who took their task very seriously, marking on presentation, taste and effort. It was a tough competition, with great effort made by all bakers. A selection of cakes, biscuits, crumble, flapjacks and fudge were amongst the treats. Picking up the prize for Cake Off Winner was Steph Setch, with her delicious Victoria Sponge.

The morning was concluded with a raffle, consisting of some fantastic prizes, kindly donated by the businesses and employees involved. These treats included Tickets for 2 to Blenheim at Christmas, Hotel Chocolat Hamper, A month’s free gym membership at Pirate Fitness and a Champneys gift set, to name a few.

We are pleased to announce that we raised £355 and would like to thank all that joined us and helped us in our fundraising.

How to find a Website Company with the X Factor

xfactor logo

So, the X Factor has reached the Boot Camp stages on the popular Saturday night ITV show. Budding singers have proved their worth so far, and now have to give that final push to show that they are truly good enough for the live shows.

With such a gruelling schedule ahead of them, the pressure is on as the judges look to put them through their paces to highlight the people who can still perform under a huge amount of pressure.

In business, when you are looking for a service provider, you may go through a similar process when choosing the right agency for your website requirements.
