Great Oxfordshire Businesses we work with

OGA5IQ0

At Clever Business Websites we are fortunate to be able to work with a wide range of businesses across Oxfordshire and beyond. Learning about our clients, their aims and objectives, their customers, products and ethos is how we are able to design, create, craft content for and produce successful websites that are specific to each company that we work with.

With it being Christmas, here’s our round-up of some of the diverse and wonderful businesses that we have had the pleasure of working with this year.

The Manor Country House Hotel

We have really enjoyed working on and continuing the development of this website. With such beautiful grounds and interiors there is much to work with in terms of images and themes when producing this stunning site that encapsulates all that The Manor has to offer. With CBW also tasked with producing weekly blog content and bi-weekly e-shots, Clever Business Websites has really embraced its working relationship with the team, with regular meetings to chat through marketing strategy and how that is implemented through the website, content and social media.

Mountain Mania

With a successful growing business, Mountain Mania has branched out, now with shops in Tring, Didcot, Goring and most recently Carterton. Their sister company, Road Room had a website previously built by Clever Business Websites, so it was important the Mountain Mania’s also fit in with this branding and design. With relevant content and images throughout, the site took shape and was launched last December.

The Bigger Printing Company

David Bowen, Head of Brand and Marketing had a clear design idea for the website, which was supported and implemented by Clever Business Websites. Looking for specific technical advice and support as well as a team to bring their ideas to life, they came to CBW because of the knowledge and experience offered by our developer, Rich O’Donnell. With an important feature required for their customers to upload files to the site, the specification was fulfilled launching in October 2015.

Team Supervisor, Emmeline said, “It’s really important to give back when we can, and contribute to charity events. Save The Children Christmas Jumper Day is a worthy cause that we are happy to support, and we have all had fun digging out our best Christmas Jumpers. We even have our very own CBW Elf!”

Surprising Shortage in Digital Marketers

 Digital Marketing Shortage

You’d think that with the increase of online and digital jobs there would be an oversubscription of applicants to jobs in this sector, however the REC (Recruitment and Employment Confederation) have found differing results, showing a worsening skills shortage in many areas, including that of Digital Marketing.

Before Brexit, it was feared that this would be the case - before the referendum in June 2016, professional recruitment consultant Robert Walters did a poll of 425 hiring managers across the UK and found that 48% of employers had anticipated a skills shortage later on in the year, with 20% believing that these shortages would be made worse if the UK voted to leave the EU, which of course is what has happened.
